Ryan Paul Ministries exists to help people realize that there is a God Who loves them, is for them, and Who has provided everything they have need of in life, most importantly relationship with Himself. We believe that frequently mixed messages of grace and law (legalism) have confused people in such a way that they end up depending on their own works, rather than depending on what Jesus did for them. Our great hope and mission is to guide people into a greater relationship with God through FAITH (trust, reliance, and dependency) in Jesus Christ (Who He is) and Him crucified (What He did).
We believe:
- In the trinity. God in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- That Jesus was fully God and fully man, fulfilled all prophecy about Messiah, including the virgin birth. He kept the law perfectly and therefore was sinless and without spot, making His sacrifice acceptable to God. He died on the cross, was buried, and is now risen from the dead and seated at the right hand of the Father.
(Hebrews 12:2, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, 1 Peter 1:18-21)
- That it is ONLY through faith in Who Jesus is, and what He did at the cross, that we can be reconciled to God, become a "born again" new creation, and receive eternal life.
(John 14:6, 2 Corinthians 5:17, John 3:16)
- That the bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God because it contains the only “Word” (or Message) that comes from God to man, therefore revealing Himself, which only He can do. This “Word” is the Gospel Message of the Cross, the Gospel of Christ, the testimony of God Himself. The Truth and reality of Jesus confirms and solidifies that the bible is the “Word of God”.
(John 5:39, 1 Corinthians 1:17-18, 2:1-2, John 1:14-18, 1 Peter 1:23-25)
- That sin entered the world through Adam's disobedience and thus separated all people from God. This is what God addressed at the cross to reconcile all things back to Himself.
(Romans 5:19, 2 Corinthians 5:19)
- That God is NOT a religious God just waiting for Man to "mess up" so he can get them, but rather a loving Father Who would do anything for His children. The death and resurrection of Jesus completely contradicts the idea of a "mad" God, and establishes that God cares about man more than man can fathom.
(John 1:17-18, 3:17, 17:22-26)
- That salvation is a process that starts the day we get "saved" or born again. This process starts with justification, continues in sanctification (God working in us to conform us to the image of Christ), and ultimately ends in glorification, the day we see Jesus face-to-face and receive our “glorified body”.
(1 Corinthians 1:18, 1 Corinthians 15:1-2, Philippians 1:6)
- That even though there are trials, the Christian walk is a lifelong experience of enjoying the "zōḗ" life of God. Everything that man has need of is “yes and amen in Christ” (His death, burial, and resurrection). God desires that all people be well and whole in every aspect. His Way of living this “zōḗ life” is through anchored faith in what Jesus accomplished for us at the cross.
(Romans 1:16-17, 2 Peter 1:3-4, Colossians 2:6-7)
- That one can frustrate (make void) the Grace of God in their life by trying to please God by their own “works”. The only righteousness that is acceptable to God is the righteousness of Jesus, which God accounts to us through our faith in His sacrifice. It is this “faith” alone that pleases God.
(Galatians 2:20-21, Galatians 5:4, Titus 1:16, 2 Corinthians 5:21)
- That the baptism of the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Spirit are available and essential for every believer. Not as a requirement to be saved, but as a necessity to cary out and perform the work of ministry.
(Acts 2:4, 19:1-8, 1 Corinthians 12)
- That Jesus commissioned us to preach the gospel to all nations, to make disciples, to cast out devils, and to lay hands on the sick, that they WILL recover.
(Mark 16:15-18)
- That Jesus will one day return to this earth and that His return is imminent.
(Revelation 22:20)
- That God doesn't love you just because you accept Jesus; God loves you because He IS Love, and His love for you was the very reason He sent Jesus.
(John 3:16-18, 1 John 4:9-10)
- We believe the bible DOES NOT teach universalism or predestination, but rather the free-will choice by man to receive God’s Truth. God only predestined the WAY man would be saved, not WHO would be saved. He is no respecter of persons.
(Romans 10:9-13, John 3:16-18, Romans 2:11, Ephesians 6:9)
- That God is a gracious and loving God and that the life and sacrifice of Jesus confirms Who God really is.
(John 1:14-18, 14:8-9, 1 Peter 1:18-21, Hebrews 1:1-3)
