Psalm 66:6 "He turned the sea into dry land..and they passed through the waters on foot...come, let us rejoice in Him."
It really is pretty astounding that often, as we travel " through the waters"...the place where we are almost expecting problems..that this is the very place where we need to "rejoice in Him" as the children of Israel did. How often, as we are going "through"...are we also stopping to consider everything that The Lord has delivered us from..every situation that looked impossible at the time..and yet, here we stand on the other side of that situation..unscathed..looking back,,and knowing, that once again, He has delivered me. Maybe you never even saw it coming. Maybe you couldn't imagine how you could make it. Maybe you couldn't see a way, even for God...but somehow, here you are..whole and unharmed.
I've been reminded recently of how close God is to us through His promises...and how brightly His promises shine to us. Yet there are times when we seem to lose sight of their brilliance, in the same way that the sun during the day hides the stars from shining...and yet, at night, they shine brightly, and we are reminded that they never left us...we just couldn't see them.
It's difficult to see God sometimes in the middle of whatever situation you may be dealing with..but there He is..with you...IN you..because he PROMISED to be...and during that time that you couldn't see Him, it was only a matter of time before you would begin again to recognize His presence..begin to see His handiwork..and begin to "rejoice in Him" as He made a way for you to walk through.
