1 Corinthians 1:27 "But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things that are mighty."
When you are faced with a big challenge, do you automatically look for the most powerful means to begin to solve the problem? This isn't always the way that The Lord operates. The Bible tells us that it pleases God to use what the world considers weak, foolish, base, or even despised...to bring to nothing...things that are mighty.
Think about it! In Exodus 4:2, God used a simple rod in the hand of Moses, a simple man...to perform miracles and confound the might of Pharoah. In John 6, The Lord used a simple little boy who happened to bring his lunch that day....five loaves and two fishes. With that little boy's lunch, Jesus fed over 5000 people, and His disciples gathered up 12 baskets full of leftovers.
In Judges 15, Samson slew a thousand philistines who were the enemies of God's people, with the jawbone of an ass.
And then there is David, the least likely of all his brothers to be King, who with five stones and a sling, brought down the giant Goliath.
Beloved, do not despise what may seem weak or insignificant in your life. God can use small things to bring down giant situations!
