1 Corinthians 4;18 "what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." Wow! That is powerful. Think about it! The things that we can see with our physical eyes are all temporary. They won't always be here...but the things that we can't physically see...are eternal. They are never ending...timeless.
It may seem right now to you that the season you are in will never end. It may look from where you sit, like this is an ongoing situation that will go on forever...but it WILL pass. It IS temporary. Your life is NOT defined by whatever circumstance you are facing. It is defined by God. It is defined by Who He says you are.
Have you ever seen a maze? We see them every year at harvest time. The rows and rows of corn are uniquely shaped into a network of paths that one has to find their way through. Sometimes life can FEEL that way. You seem to be looking for the way out...or at least, the right way to go. You think the path to the nearest exit is just around the next corner...but when you arrive there, you find another set of twists and turns, leaving you wondering which direction you should take.
The idea of enduring something without there being an end could overwhelm anyone...but the optimum perspective is the one taken from above. God sees the beginning as,well as the end. He knows every twist and turn. Wisdom speaks through His word...and His word stresses emphatically that when you trust Him with all of your heart..when you don't lean on your own understanding or what you might think you know...when you acknowledge Him...He WILL direct your path. You don't have to rely on what you see to direct you through life. You can rely on the Eternal One Who will never fail you.
Don't give in to weakness by dwelling on what you see today. Look through it. Look past it...to the vision that is just beyond your sight.
