Amazing! God's intent from the beginning was for all things to be summed up in Christ. All of God's eternal purpose is found in His Son. In Jesus, is all that God has provided for mankind for now..and for eternity.
The Old Covenant dealt with types and shadows. I believe that types were a picture of the fullness that Jesus would bring. Shadows were veiled glimpses into His glory. The purpose of the laws, feasts and holidays in the Old Testament were to point us toward Christ. They were shadows of what was real...Jesus!
The blood of bulls and goats never could cleanse the heart or conscience of an individual. It was a foreshadowing of the cross and of the power that would come through the blood of Christ to cleanse..and to deliver. The Sabbath was a mere hint at the incredible abiding rest that God would provide through Jesus!
Jesus is the completeness of God. He is the Truth of God. He is the Reality of God...and we have everything we need for life and Godliness...in Him.
