Amos 3:3 says "Can two walk together except they be agreed?"
Adam walked and talked with God on a daily basis. We can as well! As new covenant believers, we've been given the privilege, and ability to walk and fellowship with God any time we would like. 2 Cor. 6:16 says, "I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people."
If we are in disagreement with someone, it's hard to walk in any type of enjoyable fellowship with that individual. It's difficult to develop any type of trust between two people who don't see eye to eye...but God wants us to walk with Him. He wants us to know Him in such a deeply intimate way that we understand His character. We know that He can be trusted. We can stand firm, even when we don't have all the answers, or when things simply do not make sense..because we know the goodness of our God.
He wants us to begin to see ourselves the way that He sees us. He wants us to be in agreement with what He says about us..and not only about who He has made us to be in Christ, but about Who HE is! God longs for intimacy with you, beloved. He wants to reveal His heart to you. He wants you to know Him, in the deepest, most profound way...so much so that you will find yourself deeply rooted..grounded in Him. You become like the tree that Jeremiah 17:7 speaks of...that doesn't even see when problems arise..your gaze is perfectly set on the One Who died for you..and in Him, you can stand through any circumstance. You are able to trust His word above anything you might see, feel or think.
Being in this place of agreement with God is important because it is also a place of belief. It is a place where your faith is activated. It's a place where your hope is made alive. It's a place where His grace is revealed, and the power of God can work in your life.
You can walk and talk with God, beloved. In fact, He longs to spend time with you...and a deeply satisfying, intimate relationship with Him is what will change your life.
